Lägga till class när en "overlay"öppnas?

0
0

Setting reverse_proxy and reverse_proxy_addresses behind AWS ELBs

0
0

I've recently launched a Drupal 7 site using auto-scaling on AWS. The basic architecture is 2+ ELB that handle SSL, talking to multiple auto-scaled instances running nginx + php-fpm. Mostly, it's working.

I have noticed that the IP addresses logged for clients are in the 10.0.0.0/8 private network that Amazon uses. At first, I thought that HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR wasn't set, but it turns out that it is both set and correct. The problem is that settings.php wasn't set up.

I've now read the notes in setting.php, and am a bit confused.

It looks a little scary:

<?php
/<strong>
*
Reverse Proxy Configuration:
*
*
Reverse proxy servers are often used to enhance the performance
* of heavily visited sites and may also provide other site caching,
*
security, or encryption benefits. In an environment where Drupal
* is behind a reverse proxy, the real IP address of the client should
* be determined such that the correct client IP address is available
* to Drupal's logging, statistics, and access management systems. In
* the most simple scenario, the proxy server will add an
* X-Forwarded-For header to the request that contains the client IP
* address. However, HTTP headers are vulnerable to spoofing, where a
* malicious client could bypass restrictions by setting the
* X-Forwarded-For header directly. Therefore, Drupal'
s proxy
* configuration requires the IP addresses of all remote proxies to be
* specified in $conf['reverse_proxy_addresses'] to work correctly.
*
*
Enable this setting to get Drupal to determine the client IP from
* the X-Forwarded-For header (or $conf['reverse_proxy_header'] if set).
* If
you are unsure about this setting, do not have a reverse proxy,
* or
Drupal operates in a shared hosting environment, this setting
* should remain commented out.
*
*
In order for this setting to be used you must specify every possible
* reverse proxy IP address in $conf['reverse_proxy_addresses'].
* If
a complete list of reverse proxies is not available in your
* environment (for example, if you use a CDN) you may set the
* $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] variable directly in settings.php.
*
Be aware, however, that it is likely that this would allow IP
* address spoofing unless more advanced precautions are taken.
*/
# $conf['reverse_proxy'] = TRUE;

/</strong>
*
Specify every reverse proxy IP address in your environment.
*
This setting is required if $conf['reverse_proxy'] is TRUE.
*/
# $conf['reverse_proxy_addresses'] = array('a.b.c.d', ...);
?>

My first question is: how scared should I really be if executing inside of an AWS security group?

I'm not completely sure if I can do what's asked for here. I'm assuming that for reverse_proxy_addresses, I need the 10.0.0.0/8 IP addresses of my ELBs (although that isn't completely clear to me from the notes in settings.php). In general, can I even depend on these remaining stable?

What's best practice for getting ip_address() to return the right address for clients on AWS?

Really strong technical skills
A body of digital projects you’ve delivered that you can point us to
Good knowledge of php, drupal, symfony, javascript, css

Add and assign Taxonomy terms when a node is updated

0
0

Hi guys, I have to wrote to you because i'm becoming crazy, there are 2 days who I'm trying to add a taxonomy term to a node without luck.

Scenario:

I'm using a content type called: Place.
This content type own a field location (from location module) who has 2 values: street and city.
When a user compile these fields the GMap module make a google map with a marker.

When a node is saved i can access city and street using

print $node->field_place['und'][0]['city'];
print $node->field_place['und'][0]['street'];

What i want to do:

I will make a rule when a content is updated or saved, this rule have to add to my node a taxonomy term in the vocabulary cities with the value of
print $node->field_place['und'][0]['city'];

In this way every time a user create a new place with a new city, the city will be added to the vocabulary and assigned automatically to my node.

Now i'm stuck, (I've started with the update rule)

1: Event: After updating existing content

2 Conditions: Content is of type: Place

3 Actions: Fetch entity by id:
Entity type: Taxonomy Vocabulary
IDENTIFIER: 3 (my vocab ID)

4 Fetch entity by id:
Entity Type: Node
IDENTIFIER: node:nid

5 Create a new entity
Entity type: Taxonomy Term
Name: [node:title] (used only for testing purpose)
VOCABULARY: 3 (id of my cities vocabulary)

The rule works and add the taxonomy term in the right place, but...

1 Every time the view is updated the term will be cloned inside the vocabulary and this should not happen
2 My content type is not assigned to the term, if I go under any early term created I get this message: There is currently no content classified with this term.

Now my question is: What I should do to fix this? Someone could help me? For the old Drupal 6 I have found this script wich should do the trick via PHP in custom PHP:

Note: If you are putting the code into the "Custom PHP Code" section of a Triggered Rule in the Rules module, the same code would look like this:
$vid = 3; // The vocabulary ID for the taxonomy terms that you are interested in adding per the instructions above
$terms = array( 'Term1' , 'Term2' , 'Term3' , 'Term4');
// for example: $terms = array( 'Music' , 'CD' );
// Use a comma separated list
$node->taxonomy['tags'][$vid] = implode($terms, ',');
return array("node" => $node);

This code looks to be easy to use i just need to add a variable and change the line

$city = $node->field_place['und'][0]['street'];
$terms = array( $city);

But does not work with Drupal 7.

The full artiche can be found here

Thx a lot for help :)

Trouble with images in Omega

0
0

Hello Group,

I've been building a site with an Omega 3.x sub-theme and things are moving along nicely for the most part.

Except for this.

I needed a place for my banner image on the site, so I created a block, inserted the image, and placed the block in the 'Branding' region of the Omega sub-theme. I configured the block to display on all pages except the "front" page.

I needed a footer image as well, so I did pretty much exactly the same thing as above.

My problem is, the images don't render on some pages. For instance, I have a blog page built as a View for all the most recent blog posts, etc. The images display properly on that node, but when you click on a blog entry to view it on its own node the banner image and footer image don't display.

In Firefox you simply can't see them, but in other browsers (Chrome & Safari, haven't checked IE) there is a gigantic annoying empty box that displays instead.

I know the Omega regions are there, but why won't my images display for these types of nodes? Any ideas?

Here's the website: http://readwritelive.org. And here's an example of a problem page: http://readwritelive.org/books/planting-the-wild-garden

Zen theming

0
0

Hi all,

Firstly, thanks to the Dublin crew for divulging loads of their theming secrets, and putting me on the right track after last week's meet up. It's nice to have a clear path to forge on ahead. And so I have :)

I've started with Zen, and Sass, and Compass (and Ruby Gems on Windows argh!!!) and it's coming along nicely.

So, to start with a simple question about Zen sub-themes - If I want change the layout.scc/css, do I edit directly or is this something I should be overriding in a custom stylesheet? I'm not sure what the repercussions might be when it comes to updating, or on a more micro-level with potential conflicts. Responsive isn't a requirement in this case.

I'm looking for general approach to styling once I've got my sub-theme as a base. Do you add your own stylesheets or edit the existing ones?

Thanks :)
Lisa

Migrera wordpress

Hej!

Consultant: Senior Drupal/PHP Developer | The Youth Employment Network

0
0

The Youth Employment Network (YEN) is an inter-agency partnership of the United Nations, the International Labour Organization, and the World Bank that was set up after the Millennium Summit in 2001 to find new and durable solutions to the youth employment challenge. Our website, the YEN Marketplace, targets organizations working on youth employment and young entrepreneurs. It is an online space where stakeholders can find and exchange resources, ideas, and partnership.

YEN launched the Marketplace in April 2012. In the past year, we have developed our membership and launched our online programs. During this initial period, we have identified several areas of improvement where we would like to make changes to the layout and function of certain pages. In addition, there are often small modifications and problems that need to be addressed on a consistent basis. The team who developed the website is part of a larger company that has now moved on to other projects and is unable to meet our current needs in an efficient manner.

We are therefore seeking a consultant to implement the required changes and provide timely part-time support for modifications or issues that come. The first contract would cover the initial changes required, and a second contract would be for ongoing support provided that we are satisfied with the consultant’s completion of the first contract.

In order to considered, applicants must:
• submit a complete proposal with the components outlined in the attached Terms of Reference.
• have at least 3 years working experience in front-end web development using Drupal and have done at least one project using Drupal 7.
• Have some knowledge of basic back-end development and be able to troubleshoot day-to-day issues.
• have expertise in HTML, PHP, CSS, and MySQL.
• be fluent in English

We expect to select a candidate by the end of April to start work in May. The successful completion of this contract would likely lead to a subsequent contract for ongoing support, but the second contract is not guaranteed.
